| 25th and 50th Wedding Anniversary Dinner |
Each May our parish hosts a dinner for the married couples of St. Peter's who are celebrating their 1st, 25th, or 50th Wedding anniversaries. Family and friends gather with the couples in church for the 5pm evening mass. During mass they renew their marriage vows and receive a commemorative certificate. After mass the celebrating couples and their guests go over to the school for dinner. Married couples of St. Peter's who are celebrating their 1st, 25th, or 50th Wedding anniversaries are invited to contact our parish office if they would like to take part in the mass and dinner.

| Volunteer's Christmas Dinner |
Each year on a Saturday early in December our parish invites all those who volunteer their time and talents for St. Peter's during the year. Catechists and youth aides in our Religious Education Program, those who are members of our music ministry, those who help out at our parish Bingo, lectors, Eucharistic ministers, ushers, those who work in our youth ministry and those who assist in our service programs are honored guests for this evening.

| Peace and Joy Concert |
On the first Friday evening of December people from Rockland County and beyond gather in our church for our annual Peace and Joy Concert. Begun in the early 1990's the first series of concerts featured Frank and Eily Patterson. The concerts currently feature Ciaran Sheehan, Eily O'Grady Patterson, Gay Willis and the Gaelic Singers and Harpists. Please contact the rectory office for ticket information. The concert for 2006 will take place on Friday, December 1st at 8pm.

| Breakfast Program |
Monday through Friday morning from 6am-7:30pm in our church basement, People to People of Rockland, Inc. offers free breakfast. This assists men and women who might not have a breakfast without this program. In addition, all who request it are provided with a sandwich to take with them for lunch later in the day.
| Parish Picnic |
On a Sunday in early June our parish has a picnic in Bowline Park on the Hudson River which is about ½ mile from our church. Parishioners purchase, set up, prepare, cook and serve all that we have and use on that day. Tickets for the picnic are $5 for an individual and $15 for a family. The charge is only to help with the expenses. All food and beverages are provided with the ticket. There are many games for children and older parishioners during the day.

| Blood Drive |
Help Wanted! No experience necessary. Relax while you spend less than one hour every eight weeks with friendly people. Free, unlimited refreshments. Great benefits. Sound good? Consider this:
One out of every three people will require a life-saving transfusion. One pint of blood can be broken down into components to help five different people. About 2,000 donations are needed daily in the New York-New Jersey area alone. Less than two percent of the eligible population in our area donates blood. Each November, on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving St. Peter's sponsors a blood drive in the school gym to benefit Hudson Valley Blood Services. Hours are between 4 and 9pm. Appointments can be made for those wishing to sign up ahead of time but walk-in's are always welcome! All blood collected in our area stays in our area. What a wonderful way to celebrate the season by not only giving thanks but giving blood!

| Passion Play |
In 1981 Joanne and Bob Wetzel directed the first Passion Play at St. Peter's. All who took part in the production were volunteers: the actors and actresses; the musicians and choir; the lighting and sound technicians; the sound effects and stage prop personnel; the costume, set-up and breakdown personnel. Many of the principal roles and responsibilities were filled by parishioners of St. Peter's, but parishioners of other churches were welcome to help in any and every capacity. 2006 marked the twenty-sixth year that the Passion Play has been presented at St. Peter's. Over these twenty-six years perhaps over forty thousand have attended these productions. Preparations begin soon after New Year's with tryouts and practices. All are welcome to the tryouts and to help with any part of the production. The presentations take place on Friday (8PM) and Saturday (7:30PM) of Palm Sunday weekend and the weekend preceding. Tickets are available at no charge; a free will offering can be made on the nights of play. Bernadette and Paul Stoltz are the coordinators and directors of the Passion Play.

| Christmas Play |
Every year on a Saturday close to Christmas Day, St. Peter's Religious Education Program presents a Christmas Pageant. The coordinator and director of the pageant is Mrs. Shannon Soffa. Children prepare for several weeks for this presentation. Children of the Religious Education Program form a choir. Other children from the program supported by older youth provide an orchestra. Parents, teachers and program benefactors help with costumes and details of the show.

| Midnight Run |
This activity originated in the God's TYM Ministry. A few times each year St. Peter's reserves a bus to go to New York City to bring items such as personal hygiene articles, clothes, sandwiches and coffee to persons who are homeless. As needed there will be campaigns in the parish seeking donations of these items or gifts of money to purchase them. These visits usually depart at 9PM and return before 2 AM. The route and stopping points are coordinated with an oversite office in the city. Adults from the parish, youth from God's TYM and parishioners who may wish to take part share in the run together.

| Vacation Bible School |
Takes place during the summer during the month of July. It is an ecumenical endeavor in the community of Haverstraw. Our parish, St. Peter's, participates annually by enrolling our students, providing teachers and participants. It is a five day program which has a focus on scripture, music and activities.

| O God, who hast given unto Thy blessed Apostle Peter the keys to the kingdom of heaven, and the power to bind and loose: grant that we may be delivered, through the help of this intercession, from the slavery of all our sins: Who livest and reignest world without end. |
| Amen. |
